ABOUT ME

Oona-Emilia Enkelsaari is a Finnish author, actor, and model currently based in Los Angeles. Her work moves between literature, performance, and visual storytelling.

She has published three nonfiction books, including Ansa Ikonen – Memories of a Film Star (Aviador Publishing 2023), a  biography of one of Finland's most iconic actresses. Her writing combines cultural research, interviews, and narrative design – creating titles that preserve history and spark public conversation. Her books have been featured in major Finnish media and used as source material in cultural journalism.

As a performer, Enkelsaari has appeared at The Finnish National Theatre and in numerous cultural events, book fairs, and media productions.  Her modeling experience includes editorial, runway, lookbooks, and commercial projects in Finland and internationally.

Her recent media interviews have reached nationwide audiences, including a feature reaching 2M+ viewers and social content generating 1.1M+ views within 30 days.

A Woman Sent a Letter to Alexander Stubb – Now Veijo Baltzar Lost His Honorary Title

November 28, 2025

President Alexander Stubb has revoked the honorary title of Cultural Counsellor from Veijo Baltzar, following his conviction for sexual offences. This is the first time in Finnish history that an honorary title has ever been revoked.

Earlier this year, Enkelsaari wrote an open letter to President Stubb calling attention to the issue – a development widely reported across national media.

Speaking Openly About Her Experience of the Baltzar Case

September–October 2025

Enkelsaari has spoken publicly about her experience in Cultural Counsellor Veijo Baltzar's cult and the societal structures that enabled it. She is also writing a truth-based novel exploring manipulation, abuse, and power.

Her interview series followed her open letter to Finland's President Alexander Stubb regarding Baltzar's honorary title.

Ansa Ikonen’s remarkable career is being honored at Cinema Orion with a special screening of the 1944 musical comedy Nainen on valttia, directed by Ansa Ikonen and based on Mika Waltari’s script.

Before the screening, authors Oona-Emilia Enkelsaari and Hilda Ivars – co-writers of Ansa Ikonen – Memories of a Film Star – are interviewed at the event. During the evening, Ansa Ikonen’s honorary chair is also being officially presented.
